How do you bring seven decades of business experience into a modern website?
For Huckel Excavations, it began with a conversation about visibility. The family-owned Central Coast business approached House of Sunday Studio to get its name, work and history online—and make it easier for prospective clients to discover what it offers.
We worked together on a website that presents its services, showcases real projects and tells the family story. During the build, we also investigated and resolved existing domain and email configuration issues, before completing the project with client approval, an education session and handover.

Established in 1956 and based in Tuggerah, Huckel Excavations had years of work and experience to share.
Word of mouth had helped people discover the business, but the client recognised that it could no longer do all the work on its own. In 2026, prospective customers have immediate access to information and often want to research a business before making contact.
A recommendation can start that process. A website gives people somewhere to follow it.
Huckel wanted an online presence where visitors could understand the business, explore its capabilities and see the history behind the name. Our task was to make that information accessible and give it a presentation that felt true to the people doing the work.
We consulted with the client to understand their priorities and develop an agreed scope of work.
The website needed to explain the breadth of the business without making visitors work to find the information relevant to their project. It also needed to balance current capabilities with the family history that makes Huckel distinctive.
We organised the build around six core pages:
Home: an introduction to the business, its experience and its Central Coast base.
What we do: earthmoving and civil works, plant and equipment hire, trucks and transport, and material supply.
Our work: photographs showcasing completed projects.
Our story: the family history, from the early business to today.
Environmental responsibility: a dedicated place for the business’s environmental information.
Contact: clear contact details and a project enquiry pathway.
Strong photography, straightforward language and clear navigation connect those pages. Visitors can learn about a service, see examples of work and take the next step towards discussing their own project.
The history of Huckel Excavations deserved more than a line saying “established in 1956”.
On the “Our story” page, archival photographs sit alongside images of the family and fleet today. The “Then & Now” section brings those eras together, showing how the equipment and scale have changed while the family name remains at the centre of the business.
That pairing gives visitors something a service list alone cannot: a sense of the people and experience behind the machinery.

As the website developed, the client explained that they had also been experiencing email issues.
We investigated the domain and hosting setup and identified several configuration errors dating back to the original setup. We then corrected the affected domain and email settings to resolve the issues raised.
This work became an important part of the project. Alongside presenting the business online, we helped address problems with the communication it relies on every day.
The client remained involved throughout the build.
We reviewed the content, design and direction together, drawing on their knowledge to represent the services, history and work accurately. Their feedback guided refinements before the final approval.
We then completed an education session and handover, walking the client through the finished website and the relevant parts of their setup.
For House of Sunday, that process is part of delivering a considered website: understanding the business, involving the people behind it and following through on the details.
The completed website gives Huckel Excavations a place to share its capabilities, showcase its work and preserve its history.
It supports the next step after a recommendation and gives people discovering the business for the first time a clear introduction.

Meet the Central Coast couple behind House of Sunday Studio, bringing more than ten years of combined experience to photography, film, branding and web design.
We’re Sam and Luke, the Central Coast couple behind House of Sunday Studio. Based in Berkeley Vale, we bring photography, videography, branding and web design together through two sides of our work: People and Brands.
Through People, we capture the connections, milestones and everyday moments that mean something to you. Through Brands, we help people and businesses shape how they look, communicate and show up in the world.
We launched House of Sunday Studio in October 2026, bringing together more than ten years of combined industry experience. Our studio gives our individual passions a shared home, with the same care, creative direction and attention running through everything we create.

My heart is in capturing people. Couples, engagements, maternity, newborns and families are where my passion comes most naturally.
My extensive experience in wedding videography continues to shape how I capture connection, anticipate meaningful moments and tell a story through film.
I bring a feminine eye and a thoughtful approach to my work, noticing the small details that make photographs personal: the way you settle into each other, your child reaching for your hand, the anticipation of welcoming someone new into your family.
I want you to feel comfortable enough to be yourself. That means offering guidance when you need it, paying attention to how you feel and leaving space for natural moments to unfold.
My love is for imagery with warmth, depth and a timeless quality. Natural expressions, considered composition and true colours help me preserve something recognisable about you and the people you love.
That care runs through the whole experience, from understanding what matters to you before your session to refining the photographs you receive. I want you to feel how much thought has gone into them.

My passion lies in branding, marketing and helping people and businesses build a presence that feels clear, confident and their own.
I bring together brand direction, photography, videography, content, digital design and website creation. Whether you’re preparing to launch, developing a personal brand or giving an established business a fresh direction, I consider how each part can support the bigger picture.
Every business is different, so I take the time to find the right approach for yours. I tailor the creative direction, content and digital experience to help your brand get seen by its target audience and turn website traffic into enquiries and sales.
From your visual identity to the photographs on your website, I care about creating consistency across the places people encounter your brand.
Through House of Sunday, we can bring those pieces together in one studio, with a shared understanding of your business and where you want to take it.
Across our combined careers, we’ve worked with Central Coast Hockey Club, Wyong Racecourse, Slippery Coco, Men Who Scrub, Love Local Creations and many more.
Our experience also spans families, couples, weddings and newborns, alongside cafés, restaurants, bars, local businesses and personal brands.
We both have extensive experience providing wedding and event videography services.
That variety helps us make better creative decisions, both individually and collaboratively. Every client brings a different story, level of confidence and set of priorities, and we take the time to understand those differences.
Working together is where our strength lies. As life partners, we share a connected, equal and common approach to life. As business partners, we bring that same collaboration, love, care and attention to both sides of House of Sunday.
We each have our own perspective and strengths. Sharing them gives us more to draw on, whether we’re shaping the direction of a family session or bringing a brand launch together.
We see location as part of the creative process.
We have a selection of outdoor locations on the Central Coast that we’ve specifically chosen for our sessions and projects. We draw on those options to find a setting that suits you, the style of the work and the practical needs of your brief.
For your family, that might mean room to move and somewhere everyone can settle in. For your brand, we might choose surroundings that communicate your personality or create the right backdrop for your content.
We also have access to an indoor studio when required, giving us flexibility to choose an environment that supports what we’re creating together.
Whether you come to us for family photography or a complete brand launch, we begin by understanding you.
We consider what you want to capture or communicate, how you’ll use the finished work and which details matter most. We carry that understanding through our planning, creative direction and final delivery.
We work exclusively with professional Canon cameras and lenses, pairing quality equipment with careful lighting, composition, direction and editing.
We care about the finish of your photographs, the consistency of your brand and the experience someone has using your website. We set high standards for ourselves because we want you to feel proud of the work we create together - and cared for throughout the experience.
We’ve brought our two creative worlds together to offer meaningful photography and film for people, and connected creative services for brands.
You might be preparing to welcome a baby, celebrating an engagement, updating your family photographs or building a business you’ve poured yourself into. Whatever brings you here, we’d love to hear your story.
Get in touch with us and let’s create something considered.
